From Correspondence
Mark Mohr <-> Messian Dread
FROM THE CRC
ARCHIVE ON CHRISTAFARIANISM |
The
following letter was sent by me (Messian
Dread) to Mark Mohr. It is taken from a
private correspondence initiated by me after
the release of what is now known as
"the essay".
Mark Mohr's article "Response to the
Essay" could better be named
"Report from the Correspondence".
But since he doesn't quote or refer people
to the essay, and nobody is able to find the
private correspondence which he "resports"
from I have to provide some documentation.

CHRISTAFARI ON
YABBY YOU - 2001
FROM THE CRC
ARCHIVE ON CHRISTAFARIANISM |
| "The
Yabby You issue is a mystery to me also, and
I have received numerous e-mails regarding
the man otherwise know as Vivian Jackson.
Regrettably I can't truly give you a
complete answer until I have had a chance to
speak with him personally. If I was in a
room with him and was only allowed three
questions, I would ask: "Who is Christ
to you?" "Who is Selassie to
you?" and: "Do you smoke
ganja?" How he answered those questions
would determine whether or no I would label
him a "gospel artist" and add him
to our webstore. While the Jamaican Rasta
contigent may call him a Christian, or
"Jesus Dread", they are notorious
for mislabeling individuals."

CHRISTAFARI ON
MESSIAN DREAD - 2001
FROM THE CRC
ARCHIVE ON CHRISTAFARIANISM |
| "I
am sorry, but I have held my tongue on this
matter for far too long. Does Messian Dread
Smoke Marijuana? YES. He has told me so
emphatically. He actually e-mailed me with a
rebuke for my writing in the Dub
Sound&Power insert stating that no drugs
were used in the recording of the album. He
told me that he wished that I smoked weed so
that I could come to Amsterdam and meditate
(get high) with him"
