Originally, this article was printed in DUB MISSIVE Magazine, and it is another one that could be relevant for your studies of Rastafari and Christianity. The article show very clearly, that Haile Selassie sent someone to Jamaica, one of his best students, to become Archbishop of the Ethiopian Church that was given unto Jamaica as a gift from His Majesty. This all was related with the visit of His Majesty to Jamaica.

When Ras Tafari was crowned King of kings in Ethiopia, he changed his name into Haile Selassie. This name means "Power of the Trinity", in a referance to the comming King of kings as foretold in the Book of the Apocalypse. The coronation of His Imperial Majesty was widely covered in the world-press, including the widely acclaimed National Geographic. Scans of the original articles in this magazine have now been put online.
