WWW,
March 31 2006 - Towards the end of 2006, the
Dubroom started a musical outlet called
"Dubroom Star Selections".
The combined Net Label and Web Store
continues to grow, as this episode of
Dubroom In-Site reveals.
As with everything on this website,
things have to be developed over a period of
time. First, ideas start and preparations
are made. Then, things are uploaded and it
goes on from there.
Dubroom Star Selections is no different
in that.
Until around November 2006, we released
our works on the various MP3 download sites
and from the Dubroom. When Dubroom Star
Selections was launched, this changed.
Currently, we release everything through
a brand new format called a "Net
Label". This is just like a record
label, but the difference is that no actual
CD's or albums are provided. The music has
to be downloaded. And, unlike record labels,
currently we also give away the music for
free.
We're working hard, to release music by
other artists, too. And so, we're happy to
announce that in a short time - JAH Willing-
we'll present some music that has not been
available for a long time.
It's the debut album by Dutch artist the
DUBCREATOR, called "Beware... The
Bass". Deep, deep electronic DUB in the
Roots Tradition.
Ever since this album was released in the
1990's, the Dubcreator has been moving
forward and in the meantime he has become an
established name in circles of UK DUB and
Sound Systems, even though he is hailing
from Amsterdam.
We're working on expanding the Web Store,
too. We hope to be able to soon carry a
brand new DUB compilation from a new German
label. The compilation carries a Messian
Dread DUB as well. The album should be in
somewhere in April 2007.
It shouldn't even be mentioned, that we
also hope to be able to upload some new
Dubroom Productions for your musical
enjoyment soon.
So, we hope that this new month (which is
just around the corner at the time this is
written) will bring some interesting
material for your growing collection of
albums and legal MP3 downloads.
