WWW,
January 6 2007 - This is the 1st episode of
"Dubroom In-Site", a brand new
section of the Dubroom. Dubroom In-Site will
provide in-site information about the
Dubroom.
We're happy with every form of feedback
we receive. Whether positive or negative, it
doesn't matter. After all, when nobody would
visit the Dubroom, it would be of little use
to work on the site. But fortunately the
Dubroom is a well visited website, for which
gratefulness is definitely on it's place:
both to you and especially to JAH.
The Dubroom is "under continual
construction". Almost every day, since
1997, something is done with the site. So
obviously, the contents grows and grows and
grows. We moved from basically presenting
our own music in MIDI format to a (legal)
MP3 portal and in the meantime, we have
become a source of information and good
music for over 10,000 people a week.
Not everything is anticipated to the
detail, obviously. We often have to work in
an ad-hoc way. And the most important theme
in this context, is that it has to be easy
for you, the visitor, to get what you want
in two or three clicks. To achieve this, the
best way is to make certain sections all
with a defining name.
This section, for example. It doesn't
take a rocket scientist to find out just
what "Dubroom In-Site" is all
about. But in the same time, the title also
suggests that it's just a little bit more
than technical updates that only other
Webmasters will understand. Which is exactly
what "Dubroom In-Site" is all
about.
Sure, you'll find updates here, too.
Things which specifically have to do with
the website. But as the philosophy behind
the Dubroom is more important than the
technical ways to do it, this section will
also deal with that aspect.
Dubroom In-Site is not the only new thing
on the website. Today, some changes have
been made to the "Ifficial Homepage Of
Messian Dread". Updates, columns and
other writings are now presented on their
own page. This will make it easier to find
the specific writing material people look
for. And it will make it easier to expand
the website yet again.
Also, the Dubroom's E-music Portal is
updated. It has been in the freezer for a
while, but it's revitalized now. 270 mini
reviews of -without exception- crucial
Reggae albums, of which you can download 25
MP3's for free. Legal, and no strings
attached.
We've made a start with a Webstore and
Net label, called "Dubroom Star
Selections". JAH Mark Ragsdale runs the
webstore, where you can buy some great
independent releases by great artists like
Zema and Owen Uriah. Pretty soon, he will
also have a Messian Dread album for you,
too.
Dubroom Star Selections is still in the
starting phase. So things have to develop
from here as well. But, as always with the
Dubroom, this is a continual process!
