CONSCIOUS AND FOUNDATION MIX
DUBROOM PODCAST REVIEW |
|
WWW, February 2008 - The Paris based
Steppin' Youth Sound System come again with
a thematic podcast that will entertain and
enlighten the listener, or rather:
experiencer. This time, the theme is an
answer to the question just what is meant
with "Consciousness" in Reggae Music. |
|
|
Reggae Music is a very special form of music. Much
of that has to do directly with the fact that a
major part of this music carries spiritual
lyrics. Every vocalist seems to feel the
obligation to at least release one spiritual
track. It's called Consciousness...
Steppin' Youth selected 13 heavyweight
Conscious tracks and mixed them down to one half
hour of a musical wake-up call. Non-stop,
no-nonsense, just Consciousness seen?
