A Dub Plate is, unlike the name suggests, not a
DUB. It's usually a vocal track recorded
especially for one particular Sound System.
"Mix Plates" are similar to Dub Plates, and
yet they are different. You could say, in a way,
that a Mix Plate is a true Dub Plate. It's a
special re-mix of an existing track.
TK HIFI MEETS MAFIA AND FLUXY is an album,
not a Podcast. The original released date is set
to october 2005, even though the album is never
officially released.
The album itself is in Showcase Style. This
means, that the full lyrical version is followed
by a DUB in one long mix. In one hour, we will
hear eleven different titles all carrying the
drum and bass works of the UK's very own Rhythm
Twins Mafia and Fluxy as well as the voice of
some really well known and lesser known
vocalists.
