Some call it the Rasta Renaissance: in the 1990's
the Bobo Shanti House of Rastafari gained a
significance voice in Reggae Music. The Bobo's had
thus far not really been that visible within the
Reggae Industry, but they came on a mission.
The Bobo Shanti's came to clean up the Dance.
Their massive movement was a direct answer to the
slackness and cokane-influenced Dancehall that
seemed to run the Jamaican Dancehalls during a
significant part of the late 1980's.
This episode of Mick Sleeper's Record Shack is
completely livicated to the Rasta Renaissance.
Lot's of Fire Burning in this selection, nuff
chanting down Babylon. Singers and DJ's in a
non-stop mix of Rasta Righteousness to lift up our
consciousness.
