Wow, it sure feels good to know, that the product
I've been working on for a year has almost reached
it's final destiny, namely your CD player.
As I wrote in previous updates and articles, it
was quite a project and I would never have been
able to finish it if it were not for the fact that
Star Recordings requested an album, and numerous
people tried to encourage me to release more tunes
with (full) lyrics.
I almost had to go through a
"paradigm-shift", as I am used to
release singles, and release them a few hours
after everything is finished. But it was the fact
that I knew I was working on something that people
actually requested, which made me continue.
And so, here it is!
The CD is over 72 minutes, contains 15 disco mixes
(vocal and dub in one mix), and intended to be
played from the top to the very last drop. It
comes with full color cover art as well.
It's already in our Web Store, and if you want
to be one of the first to have the album, I
suggest you buy it straight from there. We plan to
have the album available on CDBABY as well, and we
won't forget the downloaders either. The album
will therefore be on Itunes as well, and even on
EMUSIC.
As you maybe know, the Dubroom has a large
Reggae portal with mini reviews of albums
available on EMUSIC. They have a subscription
program, but you can also take a trial and
download 25 mp3's for free. So when you don't want
(or are unable!) to spend any money on my music
and want the album still, wait a while until it's
on EMUSIC and then register yourself for a free
trial. Watch the Dubroom for announcements
concerning it.
Obviously, I hope that the album will sell. I
also think that because I did what was requested
by so many people, and I am really talking about
more people than the number of CD's printed, that
there is a chance to actually sell them all.
Yesterday, I noticed that I was really kind of
tired too. I'm usually the kind of guy that works
when he's awake, and I still do, but I also notice
that I have to take some more time now, to visit
creation again. I have to ride my mountain bike
into the forest and enjoy the vibes there.
My work is my life, and my work is the Dubroom
and the music that I release. I put my heart and
soul in it, encouraged by the fact that many
people seem to enjoy in some way or another what
I'm doing.
And so, I often forget just how much I do.
Until I'm almost in a state of coma. Usually, I
have two or three times a year wherein I
completely lose all my energy and I am truly
forced to take it easy for a while. I want to be
ahead of that this time, and so I will try to take
it a little bit easy in the next weeks.
Let's see if it works out....
In the meantime, enjoy my new album! Just click
