A few days ago, I published an article about Alpha
and Omega. They are in need of our help, as it
seems like bootleggers are trying to make money of
Alpha and Omega's work. Then I was confronted with
someone making illegal use of recording from Jah
Roots, the band I am a member of.
And today, I found a posting
on the dubroom Message Boards, wherein I was
confronted with the fact that there is a website
selling my music without my knowledge, therefore
without my permission as I own the copyrights of
the music I produce.
A closer look revealed, how I am not the only
one. My good friend the Dub Creator from Amsterdam
is a victim, too, as well as some major UK DUB
figures like... Alpha and Omega.
That was the bad news...
Now over to the good!
Yesterday, I was able to re-claim the URL that
kind of launched my online carrier. Yes, that's
right, I'm back on MP3.com! Sure, it's not the old
site, but it sure feels good to be back. I allways
had a page there, because I am listed in the
Allmusic guide, but now I have control over it,
and have allready uploaded some recent material.
If you like, please visit my page on MP3.com
and vote for me, or write a review. The url is http://www.mp3.com/mdread.
Got some great news, too!
As far as I know it, my new album Showcase is
printed and somewhere in the mail. This means,
that it won't take long before it's available. I
have allready released two discomixes from the
sessions, that didn't make it to the album. They
can be downloaded for free.
