As you may or may not know, Alpha and Omega have
released a Messian Dread DUB on their album
"Serious Joke". That is to say, they
have created the music and used the vocal
recording of "Wolves". A vocal track can
be downloaded for free from the Dubroom. In the
same time, the Dubroom has released some tracks
with and Alpha and Omega's vocal track called
"Show Me A Purpose".
Just one sign of how Alpha and Omega treat the
online DUB community. With respect! And even
though we won't mention any names, we have seen
really rude producers who are only focused on
money grabbing.
More signs?
Sure!
They have a couple of building blocks on their
website, which can be used by (DUB) Reggae
producers to create complete tracks. Full lyrical
recordings included, that is. And with vocalists
like Jonah Dan, we are talking here about Hi-Q
material.
On You Tube and elsewhere, you can even watch
Alpha and Omega video's for free. At the moment
this article is written, these video's have not
yet been reviewed by the Dubroom.
But we did review free and legal Alpha and
Omega mp3's. This means that the UK DUB Duo put
that music online themselves, either directly or
indirectly. And artists who do things like that,
should be respected.
So Alpha and Omega contribute to both the
artist and the listener, when it comes to the
online (DUB) Reggae massive.
And their contributions come out of a heart for
this massive. During the communications we had
about the joint Dubroom/AO project, they turned
out to be nothing but nice, respectful and
conscious people.
Not the kind of people, Babylon is waiting for.
But definitely the kind of people, we are waiting
for, yes?
Whether it's because they're "too
nice" (as if such a thing is possible, but
that aside), or whether it's because others are
not nice at all, it's a fact that Alpha and Omega
are now turning to the very same massive they have
paid respect to.
And the Dubroom gladly forwards their message!
