Gradually, the Dubroom website is updated so that
it will be more easy for the visitors to find what
they're looking for. As the website's philosophy
can be summarized as "visitor sponsored,
independantly promoting (DUB) Reggae and
Consciousness", this will hopefully also
become more evident in the navigation and other
technical issues concerning the website.
One of these issues is the issue of
"hackers". As regular visitors of this
website know, we were gradually phasing in an
interactive heart of the website, but
unfortunately that could not be continued as it
was hacked. So a reconstruction was neccesary.
The two main features on the Dubroom will
center around the concepts of "promotional
reviews" and "truthseeking
research". This doesn't include the
presentation of Dubroom products, neither does it
neccesarily contain Messian Dread's writings.
Reviews will be written about musical works, of
course. But also, a decision was taken to re-do
the links section and make it part of the review
concept.
So the Dubroom will contain reviews of: Albums,
(free) legal MP3 files, books, videos (also
downloadable), software et cetera. These works
would all be promoting (DUB) Reggae and/or
Consciousness on ine way or another.
A lot of debates surrounding the various
research projects of this website include the
argumentation that it is "negative". And
sure enough, much of the material which is
researched is actually quite negative indeed. But
still, finding out the truth concerning matters is
promoting consciousness. Consciousness as in:
being awake!
But promoting (DUB) Reggae, promoting the music
that we love includes of course the positive
promotion of these works. Critics of the Dubroom's
research projects have often overlooked the fact,
that this website actually doesn't contain
negative reviews from the very day of it's first
existance. But this is now emphasized with the
introduction of a re-newed reviews.dubroom.org
Although it looks similar to the previous
version, the difference is huge as it will enable
a further reconstruction of the website.
First and foremost because the differences
between the review and research concepts is
emphasized. We may talk negatively about certain
organizations in the context of researched for the
sake of truthseeking, but we don't review material
we don't consider valueable for one reason or
another.
Because the Dubroom has a pretty high standard
when it comes to actually reviewing anything at
all, and because this concept -which in itself is
not common- is now expanded and made visible more,
the website can potentially grow out to become a
versatile source for good material.
Mind you, the work is currently far from
finished. there's still a lot of work to be done.
But this particular update was neccesary as it
stood in the way of adding new material to the
website.
Thank you for your interest.
