When is the Internet a trap? And
who falls into such kinds of traps? Certainly not
freedom fighters, truth lovers and independants!
It appears, that those who are talking about the
Internet as if it such a dangerous place, are
looking for some thing. That "thing" is
not "Truth", "Freedom" or
"Independance". That "thing"
is what many in the post modern world are looking
for: "a good feeling". This "good
feeling", obviously, is something different
for spiders like pedophiles then it is for flies
such as instable youths looking for some
"identity to call themselves". But in a
web, spiders and flies meet...
You see it in the success of
software such as the MSN "Instant
Messenger". Over here, in the Netherlands,
most of the youths have some MSN account and they
spend whole days "chatting" with other
youths and adults pretending to be youths. The
subject, more often then not, is sex and stuff
like that. How often can you read how someone is
raped, because of some Internet contact? Often.
The rape, however, takes place in "The Real
World". You don't rape someone using a modem.
There are just too many reasons to
place a big Question Mark when people start
talking about the Internet as the big bad place.
They are talking things which are very, very
benificial to the powers that be: Babylon System
if you will. Those who research matters know, how
"Internet 2" is being developed, where
there is no longer any freedom of expression, no
longer any freedom to choose to be informed
through other channels then the mainstream media.
The Internet is still a place of
freedom. But you got to know what it means to be
free in order to take benefit from what the
Internet has to offer... When you are a free man,
you love freedom and know how to behave in it,
when you love the truth and want to know the
truth, is there a better place to go then to the
Internet? And if so, what would that place be? A
Church? A Temple? A University Building? A
Library? A Favorite Television Channel? Your local
coffeeshop (when you live in the Netherlands)?
Your local reggae scene?
But many do not look for the
truth. They do not engage in conversations, they
do not write articles or read them, because of
some love for the truth. What they are looking
for, is "contact" with "like minded
individuals". In other words, looking for
confirmations of themselves. Which the Internet
will give them too. But usually, these people do
not like what they see when they look in that
mirror called the Internet. And so they blame the
mirror for what they see...
The Internet is a place where you
can get what you want, and you will get what you
want. When you're looking for sins to commit, go
right ahead for it's all out there. Just like in
the so-called "real world", by the way.
When you're looking for a
"feel-good-vibe", go right ahead for
it's all out there too. The Internet gives you
what you are searching for. So when you find
something which makes you feel like being a fly in
a web, don't blame the Internet. Blame yourself
and stop being a fly. For only flies run into dung
and webs. It's in their very nature!
Let's take a closer look to this
new trend, by which it seems that people are now
falling into the idea that if only they would
remove themselves from the Internet, they will no
longer be "caught in a web" where they
will be eaten by "spiders", as if they
are flies. Little do these people realize, that
when you are a fly, you will allways be caught in
a web, woven by a spider. Little do these people
realize about the fact that they consider
themselves to be flies!
Is the Internet full of spiders
and flies? Yes, as a matter of fact it is. Just
like in what they call "the real world",
that is the offline situation! There are many
websites pretending to be some thing where in
reality they are not. But that's not really a
thing which is caused by the Internet. It is a
thing which is closely connected to the very
nature of human "civilization" and yes,
even "humanity" itself!
Take, for example, the Movement of
Rastafari. Try go to a local library, after all
that's where you are in the so-called "real
world" rather then the so-called
"virtual world" that is the Internet.
Try and get some truth information about this
movement in your local library. Then go to your
local bookstore and your local "Reggae
scene" and tell me just how much truth you
have been finding. Chances are very great, that
you will have found more lies then you will ever
engage on the Internet.
When you're a truthseeker, a
freedom fighter, an independant musician, the
Internet is your place. Babylon fears the Internet
more then anything else! It is in Cyberspace that
the truth can be found for example about the true
events that led up to 9/11. Think about "The
Ballad Of MP3.com" where the music
industry tried to kill the Online Artist
Community. Conspiracy theories, just because
it's on the Internet? Think for a while, who might
start such a rumour. The truth is out there, and
it can be verified. Websites, especially those who
have an online history, become reliable sources of
information. They proof themselves, as much of the
news brought out through "the alternative
media" on the Internet turns out be
mainstream news months or years later!
What then, is the context in which
many start talking about the Internet as a
dangerous place to be? What is this context, in
which people start acting like they are flies
having to fear spiders and webs? What are they
looking for, and why do they now scream because
they found it? What did they find?
In one word: conflict.
"Conflict" as in: everything which
challenges the feeble minds of the post modern flies.
In a dumbed down post modern society, the
disciplines of "critical thinking" are
"truth seeking" have become too
difficult. "Debate" has become a dirty
word for the graduates of Babylon's school of
ignorance. They don't overstand the subjects, all
they see is disagreement and as far as they are
concerned there is no true difference between a
real debate and -indeed- the dung you can find in
many places on the Internet. It's all about
"feeling good" and intelectual laziness.
And by realizing this, you can
easily find out the true reason why some are
afraid for the Internet. They are flies, ready to
be eaten by any spider, on- or offline! They have
not been learning how to behave in freedom and all
they look for is some "feel good vibe".
And when do flies feel good? When they're in the
midst of dung! And so there are many spiders who
create their web right where the dung is.
Yes, the Internet is full of dung,
spiders and flies. You can find them all over, and
especially in those parts in Cyberspace where
"people come together". Message Boards,
Chat Rooms et cetera. And where people come
together, you will allways have the spiders
waiting for the flies.
But that's not all the Internet
has to offer, even though it seems like some who
are speaking about the Internet have no idea that
there is something outside of Chat Rooms. There
are, for example, literally thousands of musical
works which can be downloaded often for free.
There are many websites with verifiable and
crucial information for truthseekers and freedom
fighters.
Those who mistake freedom for a
web, are kind of confused. They're not free. At
least, they do not know how to behave in freedom.
Freedom is not some "feel-good utopia".
Freedom is hard work. Especially since there is no
one to tell you what to do. So you have to think.
You have to find. You have to stand strong when
you are being tempted by some website. On the
Internet, you can learn just how free you are. And
it turns out, that many are simply not free. For
all they find is another web.
However, it's not really fair to
blame some infrastructure, a network of computers
used by people expressing themselves, for
something that people who use this infrastructure
actually do. It's not the Internet's fault when
one runs into some kind of online trap. The trap
isn't made by the Internet. Nothing is made by the
Internet. Everything on the Internet is made by
"real people" who are in the "real
world" typing words on a "real
keyboard" for other people in the "real
world" to read with their "real
eyes".
It goes further.
In itself, to say that the
Internet is a trap, is to fall into a trap! A trap
in a technique called "Problem -> Reaction
-> Solution". The online freedom, called
"anarchy" by some, is a true problem for
the powers that be. Most people know that the true
story behind the events of 9/11 is quite different
then the official one. The only reason why the
powers that be have not yet launched another
terrorist attack killing many people is that there
are many websites exposing the truth. And in the
same time, the system makes sure that the Internet
is filled with dung in order to create problems
where people will then start to demand for a
solution: a taking away of the freedom on the
Internet. So those who are talking about the
Internet as a no-go-area, are de facto assisting
the system we have come to identifty with the name
"Babylon".
In ancient times, the founder of
Babylon (Nimrod) sent out thieves and violent
people to independant tribes. Terrorists, if you
will. They terrorized the free people until such
an extend, that the independant tribes gladfully
exchanged their liberty for the
"security" that this very same Nimrod
offered against the "terrorists". It's
an ancient trick, but 6000 years later humanity
still seems to fall for it. Security over Liberty.
"Feeling Good" over "Debates".
Sure, the Internet is full with
weirdo's and crazy people. Full with spiders and
flies doing their things. But why do people go
online? It has been said before, they go online to
"feel good". To have
"security", if you will. They do not
come to the Internet because they love freedom and
truth and know that Cyberspace is the best place
to be free and find more truth in an hour then a
year's search in your local library will provide.
You will find spiders at those
places where they expect flies to come. That's
where they create their webs. These places are
those places, where flies come to feel good.
Usually, flies and spiders can be found in pretty
unclean places. Dung, with it's terrible smell, is
attractive for flies.
Is it still wize, to tell
"flies" to not go to the web? Yes, in a
way. But much better is to tell "flies"
to stop being a fly. Stop being attracted to dung.
Stop longing for security in the midst of liberty.
Start loving the truth. Because when you look for
dung, you will run into a web. But when you look
for truth, you will find liberty. Just like in
that so-called "real world".
