| Words
of Christ in Red by Aaron Judah |
| I
have seen this phrase on the spines of
bibles for as long as I have been interested
in the contents of the book. Yet, how many
people truly consider the meaning of those
red words? I say, "Not many."
|
|
The Messiah's words are revolutionary and
inflammatory. It would be safe to say, even, that
they are anti-Christian in the sense that they do
not promote the current popular ideology that is
espoused in mainstream, media-driven Christianity.
How often can instances be found where Yahshua is
pulling down manmade doctrine,# breaking
illegitimate social barriers# and seeking to bring
people to the knowledge of a true faith in
YHWH/JAH. Consider his statements about the
illusory , transitory nature of material wealth#
and you have a portrait of a true radical that
was, and will forever be, an enemy of the
religious status quo.
Admittedly, I have questions as to the place that
the "New Testament" writings should hold
in the lives of believers in YHWH/JAH. It is an
indisputable fact that tens of thousands of people
served The Almighty without the writings of Paul
and the others. It is also true that the Messiah
never wrote any verifiable books that we have
record of and that he referenced the Tanakh as a
means of instruction and teaching. However,
accounts of Yahshua's life and teachings, as
portrayed in the records of Matthew, etc., do
allow us a peak into the spirit and essence of his
faith.
It is a faith of strong conviction and zeal,
dedication and commitment. It is a faith of
revolutionary activity and radical belief.
Unfortunately, it is not a faith that is
appreciated by those in control.
To read the words of the Messiah, search for their
contextual meaning and act upon them is to set
oneself against society. Very few understand or
are willing to admit this. For this reason, the
true power, charisma and attractiveness of
Yahshua, along with a legitimate portrayal of his
humanity and spirituality, are not fully
comprehended. Many are repulsed by the image of
the corporate, submissive, effeminate Anglo-Christ
not realizing that they are not receiving a true
picture of the revolutionary Messiah.
